2:55PM - Fannish five meme
I am reading or rather re-reading 'A Game of Thrones' by George R.R. Martin, can't figure out why I never continued with the series, so far I'm really enjoying it.

4:15PM - highlander fic - "The horsemen curtains fic"
Well after aeron_lanart explained what 'curtain fics' were my brain went to what can only be described as a scary crack!tastic place, and a conversation with ![[info - personal]](http://s.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png){kind=small}
layla_aaron developed and the crack sort of grew in this thread here. Now I am not sure who is ultimately at fault for this fic, except it isn't me... if you are going to introduce me to such concepts and then encourage me throwing in colour scheme ideas and character development well the result is inevitable:

Title: The horsemen curtains fic
Characters/Pairing: The horsemen, feel free to interpret their obsession with each other in whatever way you like
Warnings: Crack, total and utter crack, bad taste and a little bit of blood and guts (it is a horsemen fic after all)

A/N: This came from a conversation between me layla_aaron and aeron_lanart so credit where credit is due..... It's not my fault, it theirs.... except the grammar, punctuation and terrible execution, that's all me.
Shopping with his brothers had never been Methos’ idea of rest and relaxation but now they controlled most of Europe it made sense to get their house in order before taking over the United States.

Yesterday a twitter from Neil Gaiman (@neilhimself) led me to this site
Look is songs about sci-fi and fantasy books and tv series and fandom in general ;0). I'm not much of a music critic (In fact I really don't have any opinions on most music ever) but the lyrics and the premise cracked me up and they sure are catchy.
Anyone who reads Neil Gaiman's blog may enjoy his latest song about the ever so cool "George R.R. Martin is not your bitch" post. The cylon one is pretty cool for the BSG fans and Summer Glau for the firefly fans and..... Um yes I'll shut up now *goes back to her cave to do something cool and non geeky, like err.... something--- I can do normal people things too.*

1:10PM - Gundam wing fic:- "Politics and Reality"
Once again rather than the fic I am 'meant' to be writing, I got invaded by a persistent bunny and voila a one-shot.

Yesterday was fun, I spent the afternoon, using wooden blocks to make towers and knocking them down, 'timber'. Playing with balloons, eating birthday cake and watching my nephew spread an entire bowl of food across his lap and my niece jumping and spinning like a cross between a kangeroo and Taz. Had lots of fun now I need to sleep for about a week to recover.... my niece's 4th birthday is in a month, I may not survive... they're hiring a bouncy castle.

8:07AM - Life, the Universe and stuff.
Sudden onset curiosity had me signing up for Twitter yesterday. At the moment it has the 'shiny and new' factor, and I've found a few people in a mostly haphazard way. I have no idea whether or not I will really use it but the link is here in case anyone wants to follow me.( I don't like that phrase it makes it sound like stalking).
I've been doing lots of writing in the last few days, both for the GW/xmen novella I've been working on and a rather experimental HL fic ( a different one to the one I keep complaining about and really should finish). I have also been attacked by yet more plotbunnies but I am ruthlessly ignoring them, I just need to make a quick list first.... that way lies madness and procrastination.
It's my nephew's 1st birthday today so I'm going over there later. I like being an Aunty I get to buy fun kids toys and take photos. And give the kids back when they start to cry.

11:30PM - Torchwood, writing and waffle
I've just watched Torchwood children of Earth... all of it. I like my TV as marathon runs.
I just have to say... actually I'm not sure what to say really except why do that to us? I wanted to give Jack a big hug and maybe hit him a few times as well.
I have been writing though, been working on my prequel to zero X (I really should figure out a name, writing that fic with the things is pretty cumbersome) this fic I've started in the middle for, it just seemed to be the scene my muse wanted to play with today. Am really enjoying the new small GW novella writing comm, thank you terravayne
I feel like I ought to finish off the HL fic I have so very nearly done on my hard drive too, I just can't seem to work out how to round it off for the last couple of paragraphs. I hate feeling rushed at the end, where it just looks like you've run out of things to say.
I keep accidently hitting my caps lock and having to rewrite things, it's driving me nuts. That what you get for typing lying down with your laptop balanced on your tummy.
I still have DW invite codes if anyone else wants one.....

I know Methos has and Duncan hasn't (ignoring the contradiction that is endgame) but is there any canon references to whether Amanda has ever been married? (Whether for real or as part of a con)

3:02PM - Gundam Wing fic:- "Strawberries and Champagne"
Shockingly I have another gundam wing ficlet for you all, written for the gw500 women of summer prompt Relena. I'm a couple of weeks early really, but it so epitomises summer for me and it seems very like Relena.

1:26PM - Gundam Wing Fic:- "Learning to communicate part 4"
Well it has been 3 months since I last posted a gundam wing fic but here, finally is an update for one of my WIPs.
Title: Learning to communicate part 4
Pairing: 1x2 with a side of 3x4 and 5xS
Warnings: Yaoi pairings, and the occasional shameless descent into cliche. This fic is unbeta'd.
Rating: R perhaps (this section's PG)
A/N: Duo and Heero's POV, set after EW. The new administration has found a nice peaceful occupation for the pilots. Previous parts are available here: part 1, part 2, part 3 I'm going to try and get the next chapter of this one out in a couple of weeks, this was only supposed to be about 3 parts long. It keeps growing.

That's all folks, for now. I'm working on another Zero X chapter, a Charmed/SPN crossover and a highlander fic this coming week. So maybe another fic update next week (not sure which one yet).

Yay I have finished the first draft of the next chapter of learning to communicate, shall edit it and post it tomorrow, then get working on Zero X, whilst my gundam wing muse is playing ball.
I owe it all to a wondeful little internet based program : write or die. Depending on the settings you use it prompts you, plays annoying music or deletes your writing when you stop writing for a period of time. It lends itself to quantity rather than quality of writing, but it helps me get stuff down and then with a bit of polishing it ends up reading as well as anything else I've written.
I still have the Charmed/SPN fic of doom to finish and I am working on two different highlander stories (one of them wants me to wirte two different versions too) and then there are highlander/DrWho and Mag7/DrWho plot bunnies that won't leave me alone. This is particularly bad because I am fairly sure I would have to rewatch several series of Dr Who before I could even start to get the voices right and I'm already doing that for supernatural ^_^. It's a hard life.

9:39PM - Spamming your lists yet again
Ha, I actually managed to do 527 words of chapter 4 of learning to communicate today. My GW muses have been on strike for ages, but they appear to be back at work. 'please don't go away little muses I have to finish this chapter and then I want to write the next chapter of zero X. I can feed you Ben and Jerry's icecream'. the spell check is insisting ice cream is two words, have I been spelling it wrong all this time?
It is amazing what having something more annoying- like packing- does for my motivation.
OK what is it with me today? This is the third post I've made today (including comms), sorry everyone. I usually average about 3 a month :-).
Now a serious question :-) Should I post half my charmed/spn fic as another WIP once I've polished a bit or hold onto it until I have finished the whole thing? These life and death dilemmas are very trying.
OK am going to go away and stop filling up space until I have something worth reading to say.

11:25PM - Fandom, comms, writing and stuff

crack_van recs for this month, it seemed an excellent excuse to run around reading fics again. I've never done it before so it should be fun... wonder if I'm supposed to ask authors before reccing or just get on with it.
Spent this afternoon at a sort of question and answers session with Phillip Pullman which was interesting. Apparently he writes without plans and only vague ideas about what's going to happen beyond the scene he's actually writing, that's how I write too, with slightly different quality of results :-).

ficfinishing to help me write a charmed/SPN crossover I've been playing with for ages. Not that I actually finished it, yet, because I'm crap but I got loads done.
Even better they've added highlander to their list of fandoms this month (if anyone has any projects they're working on and want help or want to read other peoples fics you might want to go have a look). I've got a couple of highlander fics I keep adding too but haven't really progressed much that I think I'm going to use as a goal, for June.
In other news... my GW fics umm yes I haven't forgotten them I just haven't done anything about them for awhile will get another chapter out ... soon (really). Wow I'm going to busy on LJ this month

I'm writing again ^_^, which is good. Not either of my GW WIPs at the mo though, sorry. Maybe tomorrow, I'm working on a highlander fic and a charmed/SPN crossover, both of which I started ages ago and have only just got in the mood to write any more of. When I get to posting stage is anyone's guess though.

Went to watch Wolverine at the cinema last night. Really enjoyed it small inconsistencies not withstanding. (Yes I know the canon is pretty inconsistent anyway between all the different universes, but some of it didn't really fit with the other films either). A good classic big blockbuster type film, lots of action fairly light on any complex underlying issues or depth of character development but fun. just what you want from that type of film. So in short I doubt it'll win any awards but I really enjoyed it.
It did make me want to write more of my Xmen/Gundam Wing crossover, I sort of promised myself I'd finsih the next chapter of learning to communicate first but as I'm currently a little stalled.... I am also doing my best to not write the Jerry Springer/highlander crossover awfulness that has eaten my brain (I've actually written 2 paragraphs of it hoping it would go away and it hasn't, you may yet be afflicted by immortals screaming about their relationships at some point).

I'm typing this on my new Eee PC. Yay :-), kind of fun, seems to work great. Different to type on though, getting the hang of it. It even fits in my handbag.
